Our Overhaul Service returns your sash windows to full working order.

Step by Step breakdown:

• All areas are covered with dust sheets while work is being carried out
• Staff beads and parting beads are removed and discarded
• Upper and lower sashes are removed
• All four sash cords are replaced with new cord consisting of an outer traditional cotton weave with a modern polypropylene core for strength and durability
• Sash pulleys are checked and returned to full working order or replaced
• Both sashes are checked and mid-rails are re-aligned
• Sash weights are checked and adjusted to balance sashes for correct / easy movement / operation
• All surfaces are treated and painted with white acrylic primer
• On completion, all dust sheets are removed and the room fully vacuumed to a high standard

We are not trying to make sash windows look new, but giving them their '100-year service'. After our work is completed, decorators are generally pleasantly surprised with the amount of preparation we have carried out, making their task easier.
